A Russian beauty spa has become the first in Australia to accept women without any swimwear.

Roma Beauty Spa, in Geelong, is one of the few in the country offering the new model-free treatment and has been awarded an official Australian Beauty Award by the National Beauty Awards.

The spa, which opened in August, has opened its doors to the public for the first time in the city.

Rita Krasnina, a 32-year-old mother of two, said she was not expecting to be asked to strip off.

“I was expecting people to ask me to do this,” Ms Krasnea said.

“But it’s a big shock to be honest, people are so happy to see a woman in a bikini without a swimsuit.”

They are looking for an alternative to a swimwear model.

“Ms Krasnova said she had been using a niqab at work, but the spa had no niqabs available.”

We do not have the ability to change the way we dress,” she said.
